Connor's First Soccer Game

This March we started soccer for the first time.  Both boys really wanted to play so we decided to give it a try.  We knew it was in their future, but missed the deadline last time, so figured it wasn't meant to be yet.  Well we made it this time and have some soccer lovin boys.  At least Connor does so far.  Not sure what Parker thinks about the whole soccer game part yet, but that's another story and saving that for a future blog.  Connor picked up on soccer real quick.  I guess he had heard so much about his Uncle Trey playing that he knew kinda what to do.  It took him a little while to get switched from basketball mode to soccer.  Throwing the ball in soccer is a lot different from basketball.  That was news to me as well.  I am learning a lot too!  He finally got that figured out and from then on he has been really getting the hang of it.  He is playing with some of his buddies in his class, Max and Andy, so that helps a lot.  They seem to make a good team.  We were very lucky that Max's dad coaches and asked Connor to play with them.  Metro Tulsa is very hard to get into with a good team.  So is soccer a new addition to our sports round up, yes probably.  As long as he is enjoying it, we'll sign him up on time.  :)

First game and already a pro, I may be a little biased though.

My boys got skills.

Winding up...
And he launches.

Go Connor!  Goooaaallll!
A little bored and ready for nap.  I'm glad he is being still and watching for a minute.  Yes I said a minute.  That's about as long is it lasted.

He notices me taking pictures and the crankyness begins.

He seems to be thinking about something.. hopefully soccer.

Sure wish I could have moved like that at 7.  He didn't get it from his momma. ;)

Wants to be like his Uncle Trey.
