I'm Boycotting Reasor's

Just wondering if I am the only one who never has a good experience when visiting Reasor's?  Each time I go, I think this time will be better.  Oh no, same as usual with some extra stuff thrown in this trip.  Something about Reasor's just gives me anxiety issues.  I very much prefer our Walmart here.  I know where everything is and prices are much lower.  The cookies are way better at Reasor's for the kids, but not worth the headache.  For some reason or another I some how end up going to Reasor's.  It is a hair closer, but after today, not close enough.  We get to Reasor's and as usual Parker spots one of the car carts.  They are fun for about 5 minutes then it is time to escape and touch everything around us, bounce from here to there, and try pushing the cart for me.  We have fun with that for a little while, but then mommy starts getting sidetracked and off the task at hand.  What else did I need to get, and where is it exactly in here?  Not to mention the cart has a huge tendency to turn to the left so pushing it requires some special maneuvering.  At least I am getting a good work out on one side right?!

Finally after I find everything I need, after going back in forth in the store since I had pasted what I needed a couple times already, we make it to the check out lane.  I thought hey lets do self check out, Parker can help and I can maybe use some expired coupons.  They were only a day expired but I was going to give it a try.  Parker did help a little and found it pretty fun, but then we started having technical difficulties and he didn't want to wait to scan the next item.  We fought over the bag of bananas for a few minutes since they couldn't be scanned and he was determined to do so.  A couple of coupons get flag or something and the manager (a very not so nice lady with a little mean in her) has to come over.  Yea for me.  I am at least glad the old cop that is usually standing at the register isn't there and giving me the look.  He is very annoying himself since he thinks he is a check out person and decides to come over any time something happens, even though he himself can't do anything.  Just makes me uncomfortable and feel like I have done something bad.. which I haven't!  Ok maybe I might have used a couple of expired coupons.  Who hasn't.

So the check out part is almost done and as I'm going to get my wallet, I remembered I forgot to get it out of my other purse.  Oh great, now I have to go tell the soo nice manager that I need to run to my car.  At this point and I am sweating and having a major hot flash.  Parker and I leave the groceries and run to the car.  This should be quick.  Not so much, Parker says I'm thirsty, I grab him his bottled water, no he doesn't want to take that in.  I put the water back in the car and he starts being the 3 yo that he is and decides he doesn't want to go back in.  He then spots his monkey on a stick and taking that in will make it all better.  Finally we make it back in, Parker shows the manager his monkey and off we go.

After all the crazyness of the trips to the grocery store, this may sound silly to some, but I prefer shopping with Parker.  At least at Walmart I do.  The very few times when I shop by myself, I miss him not shopping with me.  No I'm not insane, he makes going to the store a little fun and not so much of a business kind of deal.  I know one day soon that, I will be shopping alone and I will miss our hectic grocery store trips.  For now I will cherish these times and keep shopping at Walmart.

  1. Welcome to the blog world. I find myself at Reasor's a lot too. I actually like it more than Wal-mart, but not the prices!
