Monday morning with the Wilson's.
At our house, most things start at breakfast. That's when the crazyness of the day begins. Trying to get Connor dressed, fed, and out the door to get to the bus. It's not so fun waking a 7 yo that is so not a morning person. We try to be somewhat quiet in hopes that little brother will hopefully stay asleep for a few minutes longer. Sometimes it works, sometimes, not so much. If he is still sleeping when we need to leave, I wake him just in time to put him in the car in PJ's. Finally we get Connor to the bus and say our goodbyes, then part two of the morning routine begins with trying to get Parker to eat breakfast. A 3 yo needs lots of motivation to eat. So many things to do and see at the same time, as well as questions to be asked. Today I tried using Elmo as motivation to eat so he could watch his morning shows. Plastic Iron Man was much more important today. He can go really fast and fly when placed on the lazy susan and spinned really quickly. At some point, Parker finishes eating and he gets to watch his shows for a little while. He decides to build a tent out of the pillows and blankets in the den and watch tv from there. That happens most days. After a little while, I get him dressed, brush teeth, and brush his wild and crazy hair. By this time it is already getting close to time to run errands and eat lunch. Four loads of laundry down and grocery list ready... time to go.
